Update: just figured out that if I leave it as is and add torque plates. Or bending the swing arm first and using some smaller torque plates. Rear spacing is 180mm! The cromotor is a little on the wide side when spaced. I might have to just get a scooter hub with the correct axle. I would definitely be welding the torque plates on the inside if I was to use the cromotor. so I would have to probably cut the tips off or install one side of the axle first. but it is made of 4-6ply steel that has been pressed together (about 1/4" thick). An eBay search yields tons ofparts and there are numerous suppliers online. I wanted to add that the mb-5 has a ton of parts available compared to the rare Kawasaki. Doyou think I can even get it registered without a rear disc brake but with regen? It's pretty damn strong. I am kinda worried about dealing with the front shock, or whether it will be worth my time trying to rig up rear disc brake function. As a vintage bike part supplier he even said he has the european motor cage support NOS that I can use to support battery pack if necessary and that I can pick and choose what I need so I don't end up with a bunch of extra waste. But this guy on Craigslist with mb-5 stuff seems a great resource. I've been on there a lot the past week looking for bikes. So I can take one out when I don't need the range (estimated 14 miles at 40mph for each) for 25lb weight reduction. Wow man u dissed lifepo4 a lot in moped army! I want to make my pack modular so my bike will maye hold two separate 28s6p a123 packs.
